What if it’s raining on the day of my tour? There are ponchos available for sale at the office. Tours run rain or shine.
Is there a weight limit for the tour?
Segways you need to be between 90-265 lbs.
How far in advance do I need to reserve? There is limited space on each tour. Please book at least 24 hours in advance.
Do we go inside the museums? No we do not.
What do you actually see on tour? Please visit our route map and you can see highlighted tour stops. In addion to these you will see several neighborhoods and many of the center city buildings new and old.
What makes you different from other tours in town? By nature of using bikes, segways or your feet, DeTours guides can take you in and out of areas of the city other tours simply cannot reach in a timely manner. This way you are able to receive a comprehensive tour of a very significant portion of center city including many of Philadelphia’s most famous attractions.
How large are the tours? 6 guests for Segway tours; 6 guests for biking tours; 8 guests for running tour
Do I have to wear a helmet? Yes, for Segway and Bike tours. No, for running tours.
Is there parking nearby? Yes there are several lots in the old city area and some street parking. It is recommended to park in a lot or leave your car at your hotel. It is very easy to reach the office via public transportation or a short taxi ride from most hotels. Please check parking lot hours of operation and rates ahead of time.
When I get there, are there any forms to fill out? Yes, each guest will need to sign a hold harmless agreement. Each party will be required to leave a deposit.
Do you offer refunds for cancelled tours? No.
